Using a rusted metal-clad skin the Parisian architects K Architectures have made a formally bold, yet humble building that will evolve and weather with time, an object adaptive to its surroundings. The new archaeological museum in Soissons, France, pays homage to its heritage but is assertive in its place as a contemporary public building.

What a wonderful project, typography caputres the essense of four Great Cities.

“Commissioned by language-teaching company EF, these magical promos use kinetic typography to capture the pure beauty of speaking mother tongues in Paris, London, Beijing, and Barcelona.”

Paris :: Barcelona :: Beijing :: London

Taschen just released their first ebook, one that focuses on Copenhagen firm’s “architectural manifesto” in comic book form.
It’s interesting way to bring the content to life and give it a different kick. Me thinks this company will be one to watch…

Kitsune 2011 Fall “Brokeback Mountain” Collection
I am so behind this men’s collection. That’s the man I want to marry. The clothes, not the model. He’s probably 8 years old.

I don’t care what Joan Rivers says (would you trust someone with a plastic face?), January Jones’ Valentino Emmys dress is one of the most stunning things I’ve ever seen. It would ABSOLUTELY be the type of thing I wore if I were a movie star.

The Faro Caudill family eating dinner in their dugout. Pie Town, New Mexico, October 1940.
Photos taken around 1939-1943, reproduced in color. Having the photos in color just makes it so much more real and relatable to me. So fascinating! I can’t stop looking.
